Considering that the two fastest individual rebounders to this point have been my brothers-in-law Randy and Dana Wormald, with both of them in the gym today, we had big plans in terms of putting up a big number. And although we (meaning the shooter) started out slowly, it wasn’t long before we were in a two-balls-going-at-once groove.
At the one-hour mark, we had 1,300, and after an hour and 25 minutes, which is when Dana had to leave, we were already at 1,800. Uncle Randy finished up strong, and our official two-hour number was 2,360 — breaking the old two-ball mark of 2,100 — before we dropped in a few more for a nice round 2,400.
So with two days left before we’re scheduled to land on 100,000, we’re now at 97,207 down, 902,793 to go to 1 million made free throws. We’ll be shooting at halftime of the Manchester Millrats game tonight during Veterans and Military Night. Game time is 7:05 at the Southern New Hampshire University Fieldhouse, and I hope the snow doesn’t scare everyone away.
Thanks Randy and Dana. You were great, as usual.
