Noah and Papa alternated as rebounders after each 100 through 1,000, then teamed up under the boards up to 1,100, and finally left me alone for the last 230. As it turns out, both of these theories are now proven true: 1) It’s a better workout when one is shooting alone; and 2) It takes longer when one is shooting alone. Go figure.
So at the end of the day, literally, 1,300 more are in the books, for a total of 7,817 … crawling ever closer to five digits and that elusive 1 percent of the way there (I’m referring to the 10,000 mark, English majors.) In real numbers, there are at this very moment 992,183 foul shots left to make. So we’ve got that going for us.
Thanks, Kristen and Lee.
