Old pal Chris Nicolopolous came back for the fifth time (Thanks Buddy!), and with a little additional help from Noah we added 1,400 to the total.
After the first 100, Sam Adams from WOKQ showed up with his microphone and recorder and we sat for a 25-minute interview. I didn’t have any particular expectations, and Sam was an excellent interviewer. It seemed as though we covered a lot of ground without repeating much. That will air on WOKQ, WPKQ and THE SHARK Sunday at 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
Speaking of radio, tomorrow is a very busy day. We’ll be talking with a Charlotte station live at 7:20 a.m., doing a taped interview with Westwood One at 8:30, and then another short taped one on K-Lite radio in Santa Barbara, Calif. If you’re interested in listening (Monday, Jan. 11, at around 10:40 or 10:45 a.m. our time), you can find the K-Lite live stream here. And more exciting radio news: NPR’s “Only a Game” will be visiting us at the gym next Wednesday for a segment in a near-future broadcast, so very much looking forward to meeting Doug Tribou for that.
And finally, we confirmed with Bobby Williams at Kearsarge that we’ll be shooting at halftime of KRHS’s Jan. 29 home game against Pembroke Academy, and the school has offered to donate the game proceeds to Hoops For Heroes. Thanks, thanks, thanks, to Bobby and to Marty Brown at Kearsarge.
We’re at 81,607 down, 918,393 to go to 1 million.
