Crafternoon! That was just one of several things going on today — a busy, windy Ides of March Eve Eve.
The Beautiful Heth and a few of the girlies in the extended family get together once a month, have a couple sips of wine and knit one, pearl two … or something like that. Any craft will do, actually. They’re very crafty, this family, so naturally they call it “crafternoon,” and wonderful things are craftily crafted. Me? Not so crafty. So my role was coaching the final week of Mason’s basketball clinic this morning (medals and donuts and milk, oh my!), then toting Mason off to his buddy (and twin) Owen’s big bowling birthday bash at Boutwell’s. Beautiful.
Noah’s pal Jaydon joined us after his day of snowboarding, and following an amazing salmon dinner created by TBH, Jaydon, nephew Korey and Noah joined me for a trip to the gym. We got two balls fired up, and decided that rather than a full two hours, we would go for an hour and a half or 1,500, whichever came first. The answer: 1,500, in about an hour and 22 minutes. It was a more eventful session than usual, as Noah went out at 937 after a pretty mean little thumb-jam on a pass from Korey. We’ll see how it feels tomorrow, on another big day … Noah’s first with Frank Alosa’s Granite State Raiders. He couldn’t possibly be more excited.
And looky here. We’re at 175,007 down, 824,993 to go to 1 million made foul shots.
