March 28: 1,000 with a Nana assist

28 Mar

With The Beautiful Heth on a movie and shopping date with our 7-year-old Mason, I was assuming it would be a late-night foul shooting experience, and then Nana came to the rescue — offering to watch Rosie for a couple of Sunday afternoon hours while I shot in the driveway.

I wasn’t sure it would work,  considering today’s wind, but despite the occasional gusts …

… there were enough calm moments to allow for 1,000 makes.  It wasn’t fast, taking a good 10 minutes longer than it had taken Jake and me to put away 1,500 in the gym a day earlier — but 1,000 is 1,000.  And 1,000 bumps the big number up to within eyesight of 20 percent, at 195,007 down, 804,993 to go to 1 million made foul shots.

Thanks for the assist, Nana!
