March 29: 1,500 in the wet, warm driveway

30 Mar

I have mentioned this before:  The best possible conditions to shoot outdoors are a little damp, not freezing cold, and perfectly still.  That’s pretty much what we had last night in a faint rain, so 1,500 went pretty darned quickly with “Annette” sending the ball back, down the net-ramp, one splashy bounce, and back up.

Some nights, it feels like you can place the ball exactly where you want it … tonight was kind of like that.

Now thinking of The Beautiful Heth, who’s in for surgery to correct Sinusitis.  Clinically speaking, that’s a limited bilateral endoscopic intranasal ethmoidectomies and nasal antral windows, and bilateral inferior turbinectomies, with a possible septoplasty, and who knows?  Maybe even a Caldwell Luc.  Piece of cake, right Dr. Daniell?

A week from now, it’ll be wonderful, but until then is no picnic (right, Lee?) … so send good thoughts her way if you’d be so kind.

As for Hoops: That’s 196,507 down, 803,493 to go to 1 million made foul shots.

For more on Hoops For Heroes, with a goal of 1 million made foul shots and $1 million raised for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, visit www.hoopsforheroes.com or contact Dave Cummings at 603-554-7855.

Little behind in my hoops for heroes reading….get well wishes to Heather. I found it more annoying than painful and I guess that’s a good thing. And, yes, much, much the “after” is much better than the “before”.
