April 5: 1,000 (Don’t tell me who won.)

05 Apr

So it’s 11:45 p.m. on NCAA Championship Night, and I last I knew Duke had a one-point lead over Butler at halftime.  I’m about to watch the second half, so shhhhhhhhhhh! … don’t tell me.

And while that excellent basketball was happening, I was outside on a perfect evening, absolutely beating on the rim.  WOW, was that ever un-excellent.  A thousand went down, but it was a long, uncomfortable 1,000, for whatever reason.  The whole mess should be on a blooper reel somewhere.

But it’s okay.  We’re a step closer to the big goal, now at 205,907 down, 794,093 to go to 1 million made foul shots … and very excited to be heading to Indiana this weekend.
