March 16: Ramping it up

22 Apr

Thanks to our good friend Jeff Eisenberg, the former President of the Manchester Monarchs and now President of Eisenberg, Vital & Ryze Advertising in Manchester, we were recently invited to participate in the March 19 Harlem Globetrotters game at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester.

Because it made sense to be at a milestone for the game, and because the next milestone is 700,000, and because on March 11 we still had nearly 15,000 left to go to get there, we’ve needed to get a little aggressive with the shooting schedule lately.  Twenty-five hundred on March 12, followed by 2,000 on each of March 13, 14 and 15. And after 2,000 this morning, I figured we may as well sneak in a few extras after the school board meeting, since ECS Principal Pat Connors and Assistant Principal Brian Beaverstock decided they had nothing better to do.

So that’s what we did … an extra 1,000 tonight and 3,000 for the day, meaning a grand total of 697,007 down with three days left to the Globetrotters.
