This is how the Rapture looked at roughly 8 p.m. at Epsom Central School. Either none of us qualify for Heaven, or this whole Judgment Day thing was an absolute bust.
Today’s crew — the Beans, our pal Ali Canning, Things 1, 2 and 3 and I — took our chances, being indoors, knowing that if any of us were, in fact, to ascend, there was a real good chance of smacking our heads on the gym rafters.
But it never happened.
Instead, with Jim on one side of the hoop, Chandler and Mason on the other, and Kara handling the exchange to my right, we sweated through 2,000 in about an hour and 17 minutes … and Kara only had to save me from getting hit in the face by Chandler’s passes about four times. (How’s that for judgment, Chay?)
The Bean Team is now officially responsible for 41,000 foul line assists, by the way, so I’m happy to say that if we are going out sometime later tonight, having them by my side was a nice way to finish up.
